Eczema on my face, help!?
I have eczema, it is usually fine as long as I moisterise everyday. It always breaks out during the winter months though (which is now.) I never used to get it ony face but this winter it is, i calmed the worst of it with some cream i was prescribed ages ago, but it’s all used up. It’s pretty bad around my eyes and my whole face just feels scaly and horrid. How do I fix my skin the non expensive way? I don’t have any money for creams.
Here are some inexpensive treatments that might help. Get some organic apple cider vinegar (Bragg brand is great). Dab this on your face after washing it (avoiding the eyes). If it stings too much, dilute with water, this helps stop the itching, and it also helps to take away the dryness, I don’t know how, but it worked for me.
Afterward moisturize with an all natural cream or just use pure oils. Rosehip oil is great- a little expensive but you don’t need much. Organic cold pressed olive oil is also good for eczema. Clay masks will also help, you can usually buy clay powder at a health food store for a few dollars.
Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week to get rid of the dry skin and to allow the skin to absorb the moisturizer. Don’t use sugar scrubs if you have eczema. Sea salt and olive oil is good for the body, but a little rough on the face, a facial exfoliation product is best.
Diet can be a factor in eczema, start by eliminating all processed foods and see if the condition improves. Cut out dairy and wheat for a couple of days and see if it improves, then eat some dairy and see what happens. Good luck!
